CITIGROUP

Challenging and rewarding, the Citigroup project consisted of 7 floors totaling 210,000 sq. ft. of data centers, general office space and Executive floors. The Executive floors were the most challenging with the majority of the air conditioning running through ductwork installed 50 feet in the air. This successful project was followed up with a full maintenance contract awarded to BP Air Conditioning. The project took 8 months to complete including 4 weeks of commissioning.

Project Highlights:

  • Data centers on all floors with 120 tons of computer room air conditioning
  • Installation of back up generator with sound attenuation
  • DDC controls throughout all floors
  • High ceilings made for a difficult installation

    TIME WARNER CENTER

    2003 - 2004

    In spite of the complex coordination of this enromous project totaling 14 floors and 300,000 sq. ft., BP Mechanical�s comprehensive operations were able to deliver this project on schedule and on budget. Planning was undertaken before the building was built and the tenant outfitting was begun while the core and shell contractor was still constructing the building.

    Project Highlights:

  • 14 contiguous floors constructed simultaneously
  • 300,000 square feet of tenant office space
  • Complete redundant condenser water systems serving Time Warner data center
  • Over 350 digitally controlled fan boxes tied into Time Warner BMS gave finite space control
  • Awarded Silver Star Award for using MBE/WBE subcontractors and exceeding required goals.

    CBS is a name known the world over. This was two separate projects constructed simultaneously - building a mechanical and electrical infrastructure to support CBS operations for the next 30 years. All built to provide the ability to adapt to the ever changing technologies. A detailed critical path schedule over 15 months of construction was precisely adhered to in order to minimize disruption to CBS operations.

    Project Highlights:

  • Studio cable trays track systems and HVAC systems required extensive planning, layout and coordination.
  • The mechanical systems consisted of (6) 60 ton AHU systems, (3) Computer Data centers with (9) 40 ton Liebert computer room units.
  • Extensive runs of new 8" chilled water supply and return distribution piping.
  • Close interaction with various departments of CBS Broadcast group.
